Baron's Spicy West Indian Veggies with Rice and Beans

This recipe uses Baron's Caribbean Marinade (hot or mild)

Either as an entrée or a side this authentic dish will be sure to please.


  • 13 oz your favorite fresh vegetables (string beans, yellow sweet peppers, carrots and yellow onions work well)
  • 1 tablespoon wok oil (or other garlic flavored oil)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Baron’s International Kitchen Caribbean Marinade (hot or mild jerk sauce)
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame seeds

Slice the peppers, onions and other vegetables. Cut the tips off the string beans but leave them whole.

Cooking Instructions
Heat the oil in a wok or medium skillet over medium heat then add the fresh garlic and cook until slightly brown (stir frequently to avoid burning). Add the fresh vegetables, soy sauce, and Caribbean Marinade and stir fry over medium high heat for approximately 5 – 10 minutes to desired consistency. Top with the sesame seeds before serving.

SERVINGS: 2 (as a meal, more if used as a side dish)

SUGGESTED SIDES: couscous, rice and beans or goes well with your favorite pork, chicken, steak or fish dish

SUGGESTED GARNISH: 2-3 sprigs of fresh cilantro or parsley
