This recipe uses Bravado Spice Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce.
- 2/3 c Diced onion
- 1/2 c Diced celery
- 1/2 c Diced green pepper
- 1/3 c Flat leaf parsley
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
- 12 oz Fresh sausage
- 30 oz Cooked red beans
- 3 c Stock
- 2 tsp Bravado Spice Ghost Pepper & Blueberry Hot Sauce
- 4 c Cooked white rice
- 2 Bay leaves
- Salt & Pepper to taste
1.) Melt butter in a stock or sauce pot.
2.) Add diced onion, celery, and green pepper and cook until the almost cooked.
3.) Add fresh sausage and break up in pot with spatula or spoon.
4.) When the sausage has cooked, add bay leaves and garlic.
5.) Once the garlic has cooked, add cooked beans, parsley, and stock.
6.) Let the mixture cook for about 30 minutes, then take the spatula and mash about half of the beans against the side of the pot.
7.) Cook about another 20 minutes until the mixture has thickened to a desirable consistency.
8.) Remove bay leaves and serve over rice.
