Oysters and hot sauce!

Oysters and hot sauce are a magical combination, it's like a warm salty bath of flavor for your mouth! We spent some time this weekend trying different sauces and enjoying different combinations. Cayanne sauces are the traditional favs but certain sauces are started off with the intention for being used with seafood. Below are some suggestions to take your taste buds surfing. Purple Pepper's Hell Ride Hot Sauce!

So I got my hands on a pre released bottle of the long anticipated Purple Pepper's HELL RIDE hot sauce! Let me tell you it is worth the wait! With this second installment of the Purple Pepper line, the cilantro is the star of the show! The flavor started savory with a bright cilantro middle and rocked my mouth with a heat blast finish! I tried it on some pizza and boy was it sweet mouth lov'n! Did say sweet mouth lov'n? Yes I did, and it was! We are super stoked to be selling all Purple Pepper sauces in the near future...

Hickory smoked ribs and saaaauuuceeeeee!

If you didn’t know, I own 2 smokers in my backyard. I take BBQ seriously! For lunch today I decided to break out some ribs that I smoked and seasoned with Heartbreaking Dawns Memphis Belle BBQ Rub. To complete my meal I decided to get bitten by High River’s Rattler BBQ sauce. It was just what I needed! It has the savory sweetness that a good bbq sauce it known for with a spicy bite at the end. No need to suck out the poison on this one, it’s allllll good!

Eating Some Bird with Aaron of Hot Sauce Willies

So I decided to rock some cornish hens roasting them with corn bread stuffing, roasted veggies and potatoes. I love this dish cause you get to slap it all together in a single tray, throw it in the oven and in a hour or so your good to go. Meals like this are very holiday-esk. Traditional for those winter months where a warm stuffed bird brings memories of family gatherings or reminisce of ripping open some sort of present. Alongside of this style of dinner would be the traditional cranberry sauce. So with this meal I had to bring it...
